Nowadays, people love to stay inside when there's a storm. It's safe, they would tell you. And they would kindly advice you to do the same too. Your parents prolly would scream M&TYT if you didn't come staying inside that instant. I prolly did the same too if I had kids.

As a kid, I would scream at you and did all my best to drag you with me into the storm. I love storms. I sometimes would run into the storm with the wind and opening my raincoast to let the wind push me almost flying. So fun. There's a magical feeling with the storm. So if a storm coming, instead of running into the house, I prolly ran out of the house into the storm.

Hainan island is a sub tropical island. It experiences frequent tropical storms in Summer time. Occasionally it becomes a killer, mercilessly killing all the stuffs in its path. But most of the time, it's like a natural disney park player and you can experience fun, excited, magical play if you let yourself loose into it. At the safe side, simply sitting at the hotel cafe shop at the beach and watching the storm and the wave, it will give you an unforgettable moments.

I thought of an extreme sport at the beach when the storm comes. It's something like swing into the storm over the ocean at storm time. I think it's really really excited. To do it with lovers, it can become really really really excited.

Even without swinging in the storm, walking on the beach together at the storm can also really really really an excited experience.

Do you know that the big part of my life as a kid was to spend on hunting foods? Or put it this way: the big part of my life as a kid was to spend on hunting money for foods of my desire. Let me tell you, it's pretty delicious and The memory is delicious too. :P

So here I tell ya, Hainan island can really really really offer you finger licious foods, not just for kiddos. Some foods actually are consumed by adults only. Hmmm which ones? I still need time to figure out.

Some foods prolly already well known around the world these days now. I guess you should be able to tell me at least one or two or I am sorry to say that you are, hmm, needed to go back to elementary school to pick up ABC FOODS AROUND the World course. Even kids in Space Nine at Star Trek knows "Hainan Chicken" or "Hainan Chicken Rice." But of coz if you ask them how to cook Hainan Chicken, some may say "Just say to the food transformer: Hainan Chicken. Then you have it."

So you see, if the kids in space nine want Hainan Chicken, they get it by saying the two words in correct way or something weird may popping up. But sorry to tell you that, if you want it here on earth now, come to Hainan island. Let the charming chef with high hat cook it for you. How delightful. (Note: you only need a workable plastic card called "credit card" to enjoy it without risking being thrown into the garbage car."

I can tell you so many delicious foods that I am already feel hungry now. It's strange isn't it. If you talk about delicious foods, you can go hungry so quickly. Even a big bowl of noodle with BBQ Pork can be gone in no time. If you are a food psychologist, maybe yu can tell me a scientific reason nine or ten. My guess is "just by mentioning the names of delicious food, our mind will be so excited that it instantly iqnores the signal from the stomach and say: I'm hungry I want them NOW." What's your guess?

I can only struggle with my mind so far. It's time for me to wonder how to turn my fridge into Hainan Chicken. Hopefully it won't take too long.

What Hainan Island can offer you: 3 Winter escape

If you have a chance to escape, where will you want to go? Ice cream Shop? Maybe. But that's prolly a long time ago if you are adult now. Adults don't answer like this. They will think and say, hmmm, maybe Hainan Island. (Note: that's me)

When I was a kid, I did odd job to gain money to go to buy ice cream. Now these days, I no longer do such silly thing. I bet you won't if you are adult now.

Then again, I tell you a secret. Hainan island has lots of ice cream shops. Every corners you can find ice cream shops. Even at the beach that when you wear your bikini half naked lying there, some will come to you and ask: want some ice cream? That's what happened to me when i sunbathed in Hainan island's holiday beach.

So even you don't answer ice cream any longer, you still can find Hainan island an ideal place to escape to.

When I was at Zhongda university, I saw a friend one time wearing winter jacket and licking ice cream. That's so unfashionable. Ice cream is suitable with bikini. It's not to be mixed with winter jacket. If you want to eat ice cream in winter, come to Hainan island. Wear your bikini and licking ice cream, that's Hot. Licking more.

So that's really what winter escape to Hainan island about: wearing bikini and licking ice cream. You can't be moody or depress when doing both. Seriously.

What Hainan Island can offer you: 2. Bike Tour of Island

As a kid, I loved bike so much....that i got many tales under my wings. But of coz, if you come to visit this page, it's really not about me or my bike tales, it's all about Hainan Island and what you want to do with it. So what you want to do with it? Bike, any chance or fat chance?

Hainan island is a perfect place to bike year round. Really. Even at the hot hot hot summer like July and August. The locals will hide like a worm inside at day time and go beach at night. So you can also act like the locals at summer time, sleep in at day and bike at night under the star sky. Lovely isn't it. The weather at Hainan island is average 23 celius year round. Due to its idea location, Hot summer is dried hot. The ocean wind at night is very pleasant. Bike then camp at the beach is a perfect combination. Group biking this way is a pleasant adventure.

Round the island is less then one thousand kilometers. There are three major bike routes all starting from Haikou to Sanya and back. Basically it is like you bike: 1. from one side of the island then back from the other side of the island. (Round which direction you want to go first?) 2. Directly from the center of island and back from either side 3. You are the die-hard adventure type and wanting nothing but my will is my route. In other word, lost and found type.

Simple and easy. Time is out for the bed to smoothies. :P

Ps, i can do phone translation in case you lost or want to suck coconut juice badly at the middle of the night.

Hainan island is a relative unknown island until recently. In ancient time, it's the place for the mainland China empire to dump the criminal lords and political prisoners due to its ideal isolated geological location. Yet funny thing is that if one can give up on the pursuit of power, Hainan island is a place to live happy ever after - just like Carribean these days - with hot sand beaches, rainforest, abundance fresh foods, relaxing atomsphere, and colorful multiple native cultures lifestyles.
